The Golden Fleece Inn Tremadog are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Sous chef to join our fun and dynamic team. This is a full time year round position within the company.

WHO WE ARE:

The Golden Fleece Inn is a unique family run food and accommodation lead pub located in Tremadogs beautiful and historic village square. The Fleece is a vibrant place to meet, eat, drink and stay for locals and tourists alike.
We are an incredibly busy and reputable venue with 17 bedrooms, self catering cottages, a Coffee Bar, Restaurant, Bar, and function room. We are committed to offering excellent produce and service. We are open daily from 8am serving tea’s and coffee’s from our coffee bar along with breakfasts (to both residents and the public) followed by Lunch, evening meals and drinks.
Our kitchen has a 5 star hygiene rating and is lead by an experienced head chef who maintains a healthy and clam working environment which is a pleasure to work in.
Pay :
Exceeds minimum wage however can be discussed dependant on your capability and what you can bring to the table!

Responsibilities

You are expected to work along side our head chef and kitchen team to ensure the kitchen meets and surpasses all standards and regulations, including sanitary & safety guidelines. You will be required to run the kitchen as acting head in the absence of the head chef. You must be highly competent in preparing and cooking with fresh ingredients.
A primary duty is the continued efficiency of the kitchen and production of consistent, quality food.
During the year we cater for a variety of functions including weddings, buffets, private dining and events. You may need to work long hours during peak season whilst keeping exceptional levels of cleanliness.
Shifts are varied and can include mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
The right candidate will not be afraid of hard work, they will not have an ego (our kitchen is a clam environment). You will ideally have experience in a second chef or head chef position within a quality food establishment.
Excellent communication skills are essential.
