We’re recruiting for a talented Sous Chef Designate to join our team. We are happy to consider a Junior Sous, for a Senior CDP/CDP ready for the next challenge.

As Sous Chef Designate (we are growing so are bringing in an additional chef to the team), not only will you be a highly valued member of the team where your view’s matter, you’ll also play a key role in ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly. The successful candidate will:

  • Most importantly will have a passion for food!
  • Have the confidence to lead the kitchen in our Head Chef’s absence, demonstrating great behaviours.
  • Consistently take pride in their role, the dishes they produce and the kitchen overall.
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a prepared from fresh gastropub or restaurant, at senior CDP level or above.
  • Have knowledge/qualifications in food safety, and allergens, and be able to maintain the paperwork and complete necessary actions to ensure we remain compliant.
  • Be organised with ideally some knowledge of the key elements of managing a busy pub kitchen including stock ordering/rotation/taking, food safety, H&S, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Have a great attitude.
  • Be able to work a mix of split and straight shifts

Total package up to £46k per annum. Salary (dependent on experience) £36 to £40k + bonus + tips/service charge. We would consider introducing a Junior Sous Chef role, for a Senior/CDP ready for the next challenge.

As this role will require travel between our 3 pubs and future pub/s, own transport is essential.
