Job Title: Sous Chef
Location: Potter Heigham, Norfolk
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Tronc: £2,500 per annum
Accommodation: Live-in provided
Hours: 45–50 hours per week, full-time

We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to support our Head Chef and maintain the high standards of our busy, well-run kitchen.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a busy, high-quality restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent culinary skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining consistent quality.
  • Flexible, organised, and passionate about creating outstanding dishes.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations.
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard.
  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff to ensure a professional, cohesive team.
  • Assist with menu planning, costing, and seasonal specials.
  • Ensure strict compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
  • Manage stock levels, coordinate deliveries, and minimise food waste.
  • Maintain smooth kitchen operations during service and support front-of-house as required.
