Responsibilities

As our Sous Chef of QSR, you will play a key role in bringing this concept to life. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and testing all new recipes for our menu and LTOs
  • Responsible for training and assisting in evaluating team members during annual reviews. To ensure preparation, cooking and presentation of food is adhered to by the SOP guidelines
  • Ensures proper staffing for maximum productivity and high standards of quality; plans and apportions work while continuously directing and monitoring team member work activities to achieve maximum productivity
  • Ensuring sanitation and being aware of safety emergency protocols are strictly adhered to according to the SOP
  • Establishes and adheres to controls and monitors kitchen activities related to inventory, cost controls, and requisition with collaboration from team leadership
  • Ensures kitchen and equipment are in good working order and that the work area is clean and hazard free
  • Monitors and oversees the use of appliance and kitchen equipment and makes recommendations for maintenance, repair and upkeep of the kitchen, it’s equipment and other areas of the restaurant
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally
  • Participates in interviewing and selecting candidates
  • Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Superfood and treating each team member with care, dignity, fairness and respect
  • Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards pursuant to Superfoods’ policies and conduct self in a manner that reflects a positive professional image
