JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial team role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. This position requires a strong background in culinary arts, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a Cook or Sous Chef in a hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and other departments.
  • A passion for food production and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, typical working hours 9-6, evenings and weekends as required.
    Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
    Pay: £14.50-£16.50 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and performance.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
  • Handle any issues that arise in the kitchen promptly and efficiently.
