Job Description We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef specializing in Pan Asian cuisine to join our culinary team in Kathmandu, Nepal. As the Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while supporting the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations. Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and maintaining high culinary standards Create and develop innovative Pan Asian menu items, incorporating local and seasonal ingredients Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet restaurant standards Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment Implement and maintain food safety and sanitation procedures Assist in inventory management, cost control, and budget adherence Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing Stay current with culinary trends and techniques in Pan Asian cuisine Qualifications Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably in high-volume restaurants or hotels Extensive knowledge and expertise in various Pan Asian cuisines, including Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese Proficiency in Pan Asian cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Proven experience in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing Proficient in kitchen management systems and inventory control Valid food safety certification Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Nepali is a plus Creativity and passion for culinary innovation Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays Additional Information You will be joining a collaborative and dynamic team that thrives in a supportive and professional environment—whether at one of our vibrant properties or within our innovative corporate offices.
