PESCARAA is a new restaurant business in Oakville, ON L6J 1H8. We are professional, agile, and our goal is to Brand new fine dining restaurant located in the heart of Oakville downtown, offering a unique fusion of Italian cuisine.
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Line cook with experience in Italian at a fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, a strong background in managing teams, and the ability to create innovative and delectable dishes that showcase the best of Italian flavours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience 3-4 year experience as a Line Cook or Sous Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, cooking techniques, and ingredients.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy and presentation.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including knife skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in menu offerings and contribute creative ideas.
  • Certification from a culinary program or equivalent experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for Italian dishes.
  • Cook and assemble a variety of Italian dishes, such as pastas, pizzas, and risottos, with a focus on taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Grill, sauté, bake, and fry ingredients to perfection while adhering to established recipes and cooking techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
  • Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure the highest level of sanitation.
  • Taste and adjust seasonings as needed to achieve the desired flavor profile.
  • Operate kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stovetops, and grills, safely and responsibly.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate orders and maintain an efficient workflow.
