Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Sous Chef to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia’s most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.
We are currently seeking a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery Qualified Sous Chef who is highly skilled and experienced in 5 star restaurant operations lead our Kitchen. In this role, you will oversee the operations of the kitchen operations ensuring the highest standards of quality and profitability. Your ultimate goal will be to provide excellent products and services to our guests while also driving sustainable and profitable outlets. It will be your responsibility to assist the Head Chef in creating and maintaining training programs to ensure that our associates have the necessary skills and framework to effectively perform their jobs and maintain the highest standards of culinary services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the senior chefs with menu planning, inventory control, scheduling, ordering of kitchen supplies; within the Pastry Kitchen and Bakery.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the kitchen is smoothly and efficiently;
  • Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, cookery and guest service;.
  • Assist chefs with all sections of the kitchen as required by the Head chef.
