We’re a busy, family run traditional 17th century freehouse on the eastern edge of Dartmoor @10 miles from the centre of Exeter and Newton Abbot, 6 miles Bovey Tracy or Moretonhampstead. We’re now looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team.
Sensible hours, @ 38 per week over 4.5 days (no Sunday evenings). You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays. Technically split shifts but there is flexibility to work some of them as straights. + TIPS , company pension if perm. Up to £33500 per year, dependant on experience.
All our food is prepared from fresh, seasonal, local ingredients and our menu is quite eclectic.
The successful candidate will be capable of preparing and serving high quality dishes, menu design, managing stock, ordering, cleaning rota and operating within all EHO standards. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised individual who is happy working as part of a team or solo when required and is capable of running the kitchen when Head Chef is off.
Minimum Level 1 Hygiene preferred.
This is NOT a live in position.
This could suit freelance chef. Rates negotiable.
