As Sous Chef, under the guidance of our Retail Head Chef, you will be an integral part of our kitchen brigade, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of our retail catering offer. You will be responsible for managing the food service operation, including stock management, food specification, delivery, food safety, and cost control. Leading, developing, and motivating a dedicated retail team will be central to your role, alongside creating and delivering innovative, premium menu offers that enhance the guest experience while ensuring full site compliance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Drive growth and customer satisfaction by identifying opportunities for innovation, managing customer feedback, and delivering high-quality retail catering operations.
• Manage financial performance by controlling costs, optimizing purchasing, and ensuring profitability through effective resource management and labour productivity.
• Lead and develop a motivated team, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and performance management while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee operational excellence by ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, and statutory regulations, and continually seeking ways to improve service quality and efficiency.
• Ensure effective stock management and purchasing practices, including conducting regular stock counts and managing variances.
• Promote Sodexo’s brand, values, and recruitment policies while driving service excellence, corporate social responsibility, and maintaining high standards.
• Plan, prioritize, and organize workload and resources efficiently to meet business objectives and ensure seamless service delivery across departments.
