As the second-in-command in our kitchen, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of food quality and kitchen operations while showcasing the rich flavors of South Indian cuisine. Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and menu planning Create and execute innovative South Indian dishes while maintaining traditional flavors and techniques Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet our high standards Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment Implement and maintain food safety and hygiene standards Assist in inventory management, cost control, and menu pricing Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal specials Ensure timely food preparation and efficient kitchen workflow during service hours Participate in menu tastings and food presentations for special events Qualifications Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably in high-volume restaurants or hotels Extensive knowledge and expertise in South Indian cuisine, including regional variations Proven experience in menu planning, kitchen management, and staff training Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in inventory management and cost control Up-to-date food safety certification In-depth understanding of South Indian ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently Creativity and passion for culinary innovation while respecting traditional flavors Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays Job-Category: Culinary Job Type: Permanent Job Schedule: Full-Time
