SALARY UP TO £30.000 AND TIPS

The Spread Eagle Inn is a busy pub in National Trust gardens (Stourhead), with a large courtyard we can seat up to 150 guests inside and out, and 5 bedrooms with 4 AA gold stars.
Sous Chef is required for a busy country pub with rooms. Our food is all made on site, we run a lunch and dinner menu. The menu is made up from some best sellers which don’t change as well as seasonal specials. Work alongside the Head Chef and the owners to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new dishes for our menus.
You will have previous experience of working in a busy, high volume operation.
You will be responsible helping the Head Chef to:
- Prepare, cook and present amazing food to a high standard, training all staff on dish presentation
- Be organised, keeping your eye on the ball before, during and after service
- Take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety
- Manage food safety and stock rotation, placing orders with our nominated suppliers
- Carry out regular stock takes, audits and checks to ensure all areas of the business are efficiently run and well maintained
- Be responsible for ensuring all health and safety, due diligence records and compliance is maintained
The person(s) we are looking for will;
have the ambition to grow and develop with us and become an integral part of the team, have had training in food allergens and Food Safety Level 2 would be an advantage
The Package will vary depending on experience and level of skill
Salary: dependant on applicant
Free food and drink on duty, 40-48 hour per week contract dependant on position
