JOB DESCRIPTION

Legendary Hospitality in the heart of Downtown Halifax is looking for a Sous Chef to join our team at the Stubborn Goat. We are looking for a passionate hard working individuals to join our back of house teams. Our core values are focused around the people we employ and the customers we serve and we are looking for like-minded individuals.

• Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies
• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
• Responsible for the day-to-day culinary operations
• Assists in menu creation, food purchasing, and maintenance of quality standards
• Assists in the management and training of new personnel, coaching staff and monitoring performance
• Adhere to company standards and service levels to increases sales and minimize costs, including food costs and labour costs
• Ensuring all members of the culinary team create dishes which meet our quality standards
• Responsible for investigating and resolving complaints concerning food quality and service, including online reviews
• Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents, including being responsible for promptly recording incident reports incase of injury to employees or guests
• Follow and enforce our core values and deliver a Legendary experience
