We’re currently recruiting a skilled and driven Sous Chef on behalf of our client’s beautifully refurbished country pub, located in the heart of North Norfolk.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef looking to take on a leadership role within a creative and supportive kitchen environment that values quality, consistency, and innovation.

SALARY & BENEFITS

  • £35,000–£38,000 per annum, depending on experience

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Sous Chef, you’ll play a key leadership role in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in managing daily operations, mentoring junior chefs, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation are maintained at all times.
You’ll be instrumental in driving creativity, consistency, and efficiency across all sections, and contribute to the ongoing success of a well-regarded dining destination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Maintain high standards in food preparation, presentation, and service
  • Assist with menu planning, costing, and development of specials
  • Oversee stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
  • Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness regulations
  • Mentor, train, and support junior kitchen staff, encouraging professional development
  • Contribute ideas to enhance the guest dining experience
