The Impeccable Pig are recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef to come and join the team.
Nestled in Sedgefield in the heart of County Durham, the Impeccable Pig boasts 12 stunning, luxury individually designed bedrooms – including 2 master suites. The Impeccable Pig delivers one of the best bar, restaurant and hotel experiences on the high street.
Food plays a significant part at the Impeccable Pig, with delicious bistro style food, using fresh locally sourced produce. Our aim is to ensure that we delight every guest, every single time, so they come back time and time again.
As the successful Sous Chef you will work alongside the Head Chef, managing the daily activities of the kitchen, as well as managing the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting dishes, maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen to our exceptionally high standards, mentoring and supporting the junior members of the team, along with assisting the Head Chef with creating new memorable dishes and menus.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with at least 1 years’ experience of working as a Sous Chef, ideally within a luxury hotel or fine dining/bistro restaurant.
You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, have impeccable standards of cleanliness and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
But most importantly, you will have a passion for food and enjoy creating a memorable experience for our guests.
The role offers up to 48 hours per week and will include evening and weekend working. Paid overtime is available, and there will be a share of tips.
