We’re currently looking for a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our growing kitchen brigade.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Sous Chef, you’ll be a key player in our kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in managing day-to-day operations, supervising the team, and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. A vital part of this role will be taking charge of the kitchen when the Head Chef is away, maintaining the consistent quality and service our diners expect.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Head Chef in planning and executing food preparation and cooking activities.
  • Supervise and guide kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Uphold all food safety regulations, maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Oversee food production, guaranteeing quality and consistency in every dish.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dishes and refine existing menus.
  • Train new kitchen staff on correct cooking techniques and safety procedures.
  • Assist with stock management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  • Help maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it’s in good working order.
  • Assume full responsibility for the kitchen operation in the Head Chef’s absence, including service, staff management, and problem-solving.
