Job Role: Sous Chef
Salary: Based on experience + excellent monthly tips
Location: The Plough Inn Lupton, Carnforth, LA6 1PJ
Contract Hours: Working 5 days out of 7.
The Plough Inn is a stunning property, perfectly positioned in the heart of some of the most beautiful countryside that England has to offer. Head north for the Lakes, east for the Dales or south for the Forest of Bowland.
The Plough Inn is a 130-cover, Rosette accredited property and offers 6 luxurious 5 star accredited B&B boutique guest bedrooms. We require an exceptional and highly motivated individual full of passion to join our mature and professional management team.
We are currently looking for a Sous Chef to join & assist the Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and drive our business forward. The successful candidate will take ownership of the kitchen in the head chefs’ absence and will assist with menus and daily specials boards. You will only work with a fresh produce menu. This is a high volume and high-quality site; you will need to have experience of that combination.

EXPERIENCE:

· Experience of working at this level in a busy kitchen environment.
· Excellent management skills, able to manage and lead a kitchen team from the front.
· Maintain set GP targets.
· Current experience managing a fresh food kitchen.
· Maintain 5 star hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
· Be a team player with communication and organisational skills.
· Have a genuine passion and flair for good quality food.
· Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP role in a high-volume restaurant setting.
· Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavour profiles, and food presentation.
· Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
· Solid understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
· Creativity and innovation in menu planning.
