Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We’re on the hunt for an ambitious Sous Chef ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll be joining a lively and supportive kitchen where creativity, energy, and collaboration are key.

You’ll need to bring:

  • A strong understanding of fresh, seasonal ingredients, ideally with a background in British cuisine
  • The leadership chops to support and motivate the team day-to-day
  • A calm, professional presence during service—and the confidence to step up when the Head Chef is off
  • A good sense of humour and team-first attitude—because we believe kitchens should be fun as well as fast-paced

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Head Chef in maintaining quality, portion control, and presentation standards
  • Help manage kitchen operations including ordering, stock control, and cleanliness
  • Lead the team during service when the Head Chef is off
  • Coach and develop junior chefs
  • Uphold all food hygiene, health & safety, and allergen compliance practices (HACCP/COSHH)
