SUMMARY

Our new sous chef will play a pivotal role at The Rag. This position is essential for maintaining our high standards of food quality and service, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
  • Manage team dynamics to foster a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with management to develop menu items that reflect seasonal offerings.
  • Train new staff on kitchen procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven supervising experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting.
  • Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
