Great Northern Group are an established and reputable pub company based in Nottingham, owning a number of pubs and dining venues in central Nottingham, West Bridgford, Mapperley, Bingham and Newark.
We have gained a hard-earned reputation for being one of the best ‘independents’ in the UK and are noted for our diversity of our style, venues and broad popularity across the city.
We currently have a Sous Chef role available at The Refinery on Melton Road in the affluent suburb of West Bridgford.
We are looking for a driven and experienced individual to join an already successful kitchen and take it to the next level, whilst adhering to company policies and budgets.

The role is also be suitable for an Senior Sous or a young and dynamic Chef, possibly currently a Junior Sous or CDP, looking to take the 1st steps to the next level.

  • The right candidate must be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and lead a small team of Chefs and kitchen staff
  • You must have experience in a similar role as well as being professional and enthusiastic about your work
  • The candidate must also be able to work evenings and weekends and be flexible
  • You will be in control of ordering stock and will be expected to contribute to the overall leadership of the brigade
  • A competitive hourly rate or Salary is offered

A competitive hourly wage is offered and is negotiable depending on the experience of the candidate
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
