Job title: Experienced Sous Chef required to assist our new Head Chef and other Sous Chef with the running of our busy kitchen
Job duties: We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef with a proven record of working in a fast paced busy kitchen.
Soft skills: You will require the competency to prioritise multiple tasks, work alone or as part of the team whilst building and maintaining a good relationship with your coworkers.

Sous Chef Responsibilities

  • Assist with all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and cleanup, maintaining kitchen equipment as needed.
  • A hands on role working within the kitchen team.
  • Resolve issues as they arise to ensure the continuation of foodservice
  • Maintain kitchen efficiency
  • Make sure that all staff adhere to food safety and hygiene requlations to ensure a clean and sanitary kitchen
  • Inspect raw and cooked food to guarantee quality
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to aline kitchen operations with the overarching goals of the establishment
  • Weekly inventory

Sous Chef Requirements

  • Ability to remain productive in a high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creativity
  • Ability to oversee and manage the kitchen operation
  • Weekend and evening working will form part of this role
  • Own transport to and from work as we are in a rural location without public transport links

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £30,120.00 per year
