JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a skilled Sous Chef with expertise in Mediterranean cuisine and pizza-making to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Italian, Greek, and French dishes, particularly in crafting authentic pizzas, fresh pasta, seafood, and traditional Mediterranean specialties. As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a Mediterranean restaurant or pizzeria.
  • Strong expertise in Italian, Greek, and French cuisine, especially pizza-making (dough preparation, fermentation, toppings, and baking techniques).
  • Ability to work with traditional and modern cooking techniques, including charcoal grilling, seafood preparation, and handmade pasta.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
  • Passion for authentic Mediterranean flavors and a creative approach to cooking.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and menu execution.
  • Prepare and cook authentic Italian, Greek, and French Mediterranean dishes, including handmade pizzas, pasta, seafood, and grilled meats.
  • Maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion control.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering ingredients, and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation, incorporating seasonal and high-quality ingredients.
