Description Burial Beer Co is looking for a service oriented team player to join our Front of House team at our original Asheville taproom. Residing in the South Slope District, it is fed from our production facility, barrelhouse, and taproom brewery. Our tap list and to-go offerings reflect the evolution of our inspirations with new releases weekly. Burial’s taproom also houses a full-service kitchen focusing on comfortable American dishes, and the latest offerings from our VISUALS winery. What You’ll Do Gather, clean, and stock all glassware throughout a shift Perform all opening, closing, and side work duties as established by General Manager Welcome customers, determine beverage preferences, make thoughtful recommendations, take food and drink orders Be willing and able to perform multiple roles including bartending, to-go/merch room, and shipping. Stock all supplies as needed to ensure team preparedness and success. Take pride in the space and ensure the property is up to cleanliness standards. Process credit card transactions, ensuring all items are rung in correctly and charges are accurate. Notify management of maintenance needs as soon as they arise. Provide event support. Maintain working knowledge of craft beer and Burial Beer Co. beers and brand. Navigate high-volume shifts with a smile. Be part of a team with a professional attitude while remaining flexible. Connect with customers and provide an outstanding experience with each transaction. Requirements What Success Looks Like Creates a welcoming, engaging, and efficient guest experience by consistently upholding taproom service standards. Demonstrates ownership of the physical environment by proactively maintaining presentation, organization, and functionality of shared spaces to support guest experience and operational readiness. Demonstrates strong knowledge of products, and brand standards. Accurately pours draft beer according to internal guidelines and confidently assists guests with recommendations and product selections. Reliably completes opening, closing, and side work duties; accurately processes POS transactions; and ensures all charges, inventory handling, and transaction procedures are completed correctly and responsibly. Adheres to all alcohol service laws and company policies while maintaining responsible service practices. Demonstrates adaptability and operational versatility by supporting multiple functions across the taproom, retail, fulfillment, and event operations while maintaining professionalism and service standards in high-volume or shifting environments. Demonstrates operational awareness by proactively identifying and communicating inventory, supply, and maintenance needs to support efficient, uninterrupted taproom operations. Engages actively in team communication platforms, builds positive cross-departmental relationships, and communicates clearly and respectfully to support a collaborative, cohesive team culture across the venue and company.
