We are seeking a highly experienced tech-based project manager to join our Southwest Genomic Laboratory Hub (SWGLH). As the Head of Informatics, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and directing the delivery of high-quality genomic testing for the Southwest region.
Your technical knowledge of IT systems and experience in change management and digital transformation will support the implementation of new data and delivery systems in alignment with national frameworks as we look to digitally enhance the patient pathway across the South West. You will provide senior coordination with particular focus on the unification of laboratory systems and integration with the wider Genomic Medicine Service Alliance (GMS) infrastructure.
Reporting to the regional Director of Informatics, you will be responsible for a small direct team whist engaging with the wider genomics network both regionally and nationally. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential for sharing complex information with mixed audiences and stakeholders.
Balancing the project management function, digital design and development functions you will drive reform in the delivery of clinical solutions in this challenging yet highly rewarding role.
Working with the SWGLH Informatics Director, d evelop a SWGLH data and digital implementation plan, to deliver to the NHSE Genomics Data and Digital Strategy
Working with the GMSA to provide genomics informatics leadership to appropriate national and regional programmes.
The post holder will report directly to the SWGLH Informatics Director and be accountable to the SWGLH Operations Director
