Southern NH Medical Center’s Material Management department is the mainstay of ensuring that critical medical supplies, equipment, and capital purchases are always available when needed. From sourcing high-quality materials and managing inventory to overseeing storage and distribution, this team ensures that everything from surgical instruments to everyday consumables is ready for use. With a focus on cost control, safety, and compliance, they streamline operations and help medical staff deliver timely, effective care—making sure the hospital runs smoothly behind the scenes while patients receive the best treatment possible.

Responsibilities
  • Replenishes par level inventories in clean utility rooms, med rooms and supply closets throughout the Medical Center including the West Campus. Replenishes forms throughout the Medical Center.
  • Accurately and efficiently fills supply requisitions and delivers throughout the Medical Center, the surrounding campus and remote locations.
  • Performs inventory control functions, including cycle counts, expiration date verification, rotation of stock, evaluation of space utilization and electronic issuing/crediting of supplies to Health System departments.
  • Transport’s medications, lab specimens, mail, medical records, supplies and equipment throughout the various Health System locations. Picks up, secures and transports bank deposits and change requests (cash and checks) from the Medical Center and the Foundation. Responds to STAT requests for supply and instrument pick-up or delivery for the OR.
  • Receives incoming deliveries, accurately verifying items and quantities and coordinates necessary receiving assistance for capital orders.
  • Ships outgoing packages and keeps proper documentation of all activity.
  • Drives Medical Center vehicle.
