Sovereign IDP Expert, Europe (Remote) – EU Commission Job role: Sovereign IDP Expert. Minimum experience: 10 years of experience in designing, configuring, and leading the administration of large AWS or Azure environments. Language: English (B2 or higher) (Mandatory). Location: Europe (Remote). Occasional travel may be required and will be arranged by the relevant public authority. Minimum Experience: · 10 years of experience in designing, configuring, and leading the administration of large AWS or Azure environments. · At least 1 year of experience with one of the European Commission’s sovereign cloud providers: Clever Cloud, STACKIT, Scaleway, or S3NS. · At least 6 months of experience with Cycloid. For roles related to the European Commission, Frontex, Eurocontrol, or other EU agencies, experience with sovereign cloud environments relates to demonstrating familiarity with (at least one of the following): Azure Sovereign Cloud. AWS European Sovereign Cloud. Google Sovereign Cloud. European cloud providers and initiatives such as GAIA-X. EU cybersecurity and compliance frameworks. Minimum Requirements: The services must be provided by a consultant holding a university degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) (typically equivalent to a Master's degree or 5 years of higher education). Alternatively, the consultant may hold a degree corresponding to at least 3 years of higher education after secondary school (EQF Level 6, typically equivalent to a Bachelor's degree), supplemented by 2 years of relevant professional experience for each missing year of education, up to a maximum of 5 years. Any professional experience used to compensate for missing years of education will be deducted from the candidate’s total professional experience when assessing compliance with the minimum experience requirements listed above. Degrees obtained before the implementation of the current EQF system will be accepted, provided they have been officially recognized as equivalent by the relevant competent authority. Typical tasks to be completed: Design, document, deploy, and maintain stacks on the Cycloid platform. Develop Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and prototype infrastructure and component solutions. Design reusable components and make them available to customers. Assist Project Managers, Service Managers, and Solution Architects in identifying technical solutions to functional or regulatory challenges. Participate in coordination and project meetings. Contribute to investigations and analyses as required. Provide advisory services to customers, helping them select the most suitable cloud provider and cloud services based on their specific use cases. Deliver new cloud accounts. Provide support for cloud platforms, Internal Developer Platform (IDP) components, and their integration with DIGIT.B.4 services. Responsibilities
