JOB DESCRIPTION

As a SOX Consultant, you will develop and implement accounting processes and controls from scratch. You will be responsible for SOX testing, leading efforts in financial reporting, revenue recognition, and inventory controls. You will also prepare and guide the team through journal entries, support documentation, and SOX compliance while training and mentoring team members on proper documentation and control procedures.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • SOX compliance and audit experience.
  • Proficiency in control testing.
  • Proven experience in hands-on accounting roles.
  • Strong understanding of journal entries and ERP systems.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and XBRL.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in SEC reporting, both private and public accounting.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting systems.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Experience with Big 4 accounting firms preferred.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
