DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Spa Manager to join our team and assist in the start-up and operation of a new spa in Prince Rupert, BC.
This position will require someone who can assist through the start up and planning phase, which will include developing and implementing services, products, pricing, and protocols as well as working with us to determine the spa layout, equipment needs and supplier partnerships. You will also be required to hire, train, and onboard spa team members, including therapists, aestheticians, receptionists and attendants. As such, we will need someone with a minimum of 3 years of experience in spa management or supervisory experience, preferably in a resort. Certification or a diploma in Spa Management, hospitality, or a related field or proven experience launching or growing a spa would be a considerable asset.
Once the spa is open, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, including staff schedules, licensing and health regulation compliance, inventory management, driving retail sales and treatment upsells through team training and goal setting, and handling guest feedback and resolving issues. This will require leadership, team-building, time-management, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Finally, you’ll be responsible for developing and managing the spa’s budget; forecasting revenue, costs, and profitability; analyzing performance metrics and generating reports; and identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and profitability.
This is a full-time position with a 40 hour work week and an annual salary of between $70,000 and $80,000 plus performance-based bonuses.
