ROLE OVERVIEW As a Spa Therapist at a luxury hotel spa in Baku, you will deliver exceptional, guest-centered treatments with consistent five-star standards. You will combine strong technical skill with warm, professional service—creating relaxing, results-driven experiences while supporting spa revenue through thoughtful recommendations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Deliver high-quality spa treatments (e.g., massage, body treatments, and/or facials based on your certification) in line with luxury hotel standards and SOPs * Conduct professional guest consultations to understand needs, preferences, contraindications, and desired outcomes * Customize treatments appropriately while maintaining safety, hygiene, and brand protocols * Create a calm, welcoming treatment environment and provide a polished guest journey from greeting to aftercare * Maintain excellent treatment room readiness: cleanliness, setup, product control, and replenishment * Provide clear aftercare advice and recommend suitable retail products or follow-up treatments in an ethical, guest-first manner * Coordinate with reception and spa leadership to ensure punctual service delivery and smooth schedule flow * Accurately complete treatment notes, guest preferences, and any required documentation * Support team standards by participating in briefings, training, and service quality checks as needed * Handle guest feedback professionally and support service recovery by escalating issues appropriately REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS * 3–7 years of experience as a Spa Therapist (minimum 3 years required) * Luxury hotel or resort spa experience strongly preferred * Professional certification/diploma in massage therapy, beauty therapy, or equivalent (aligned to the treatments you provide) * Strong knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and safe treatment practices (including contraindications) * Confident communication in English (additional languages are an advantage) * High standards of grooming, discretion, and professionalism suitable for a luxury environment * Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES * Expat candidates welcome * Preference for candidates already working in Azerbaijan WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE * Consistently excellent guest feedback and strong repeat-guest requests * Treatments delivered safely, on time, and to luxury service standards * Strong consultation skills that lead to personalized experiences and visible guest satisfaction * Treatment rooms and tools maintained at impeccable hygiene and presentation levels * Positive contribution to spa performance through appropriate upgrades, add-ons, and retail recommendations WORK LOCATION Baku, Azerbaijan (Luxury Hotel / Resort Spa).
