The Award Winning Nadur Spa at Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa, in the vibrant town of Tralee, currently has an exciting opportunity for a Spa Therapist to join our outstanding team! Scope of the Role: A spa therapist is responsible for providing professional spa treatments to clients to promote relaxation, relieve stress, and improve overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
To ensure 4 star standards of service are achieved at all times.
To perform in a professional and courteous manner with all customers (internal & external).
To offer an in-depth knowledge of accommodation services and hotel services in general.
To ensure all hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene and Employment.
To report to duty on time, in the correct uniform and to wear a name badge and Ballygarry pin.
Administering a variety of spa treatments: A spa therapist should be proficient in providing various treatments such as massages, facials, body wraps, and exfoliations according to the client’s preferences and needs.
Assessing client needs: Before providing any treatment, a spa therapist should assess the client’s individual needs, concerns, and medical history to determine the best course of treatment and ensure client safety.
Recommending treatment plans: A spa therapist may provide guidance and recommendations on treatment plans, products, and home care routines to help clients maintain and enhance their spa experience.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene: It is essential for a spa therapist to maintain a clean and organized treatment room, ensuring that all equipment and tools are sanitized and ready for use. Strict adherence to sanitation protocols and safety measures is crucial.
Updating records and documentation: Spa therapists are responsible for keeping detailed records of client information, treatment sessions, products used, and any observations or recommendations made during the treatment. This helps to ensure consistency and provides a reference for future treatments.
Client education: A spa therapist should be knowledgeable about various treatments, products, and their benefits. They should be able to educate clients about these options and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
