Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Space Operations Analyst to join a Federal Program in Vandenberg, CA. The Space Operations Analyst will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise and operational-level support to military space operations planning, coordination, and policy development in support of national security objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SPACE OPERATIONS ANALYST INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of experience, or a Master’s degree and 7 years of experience.
  • Experience supporting decision-making processes across diverse stakeholders, including commercial, civil, government, and military entities.
  • Proven ability to communicate operational capabilities, limitations, and requirements through tailored deliverables and presentations.
  • Familiarity with space operations within the context of joint military operations.
  • Understanding of military doctrine, including orders, plans, policies, instructions, and CONOPS.
  • Skilled in researching and synthesizing information into concise formats such as briefings, white papers, and presentations.
  • Knowledge of command structures and authorities within military or joint operational environments.
  • Must have and active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and support planning for Command and Control, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Space Situational Awareness (SSA) sharing, and space control strategies, architectures, and requirements.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support for joint and combined space operations planning in alignment with Joint Publication 5-0.
  • Assess technical capabilities, mission goals, and available resources to develop strategies, policies, CONOPS, and alternative solutions that align with operational objectives.
  • Review and contribute to the development and coordination of key space operations documents, including directives, instructions, CONOPS, agreements, and requirements.
  • Analyze the impact of global sensor issues, space events, and domestic or international space policy changes on mission execution and operations center activities.
  • Support anomaly resolution and assess the implications of policy changes on space operations.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of assessments related to Commander Priorities, Readiness, and Operations, ensuring alignment with mission directives.
  • Participate in technical meetings and working groups, such as Lessons Learned and Rules of Engagement, providing both analytical and administrative support.
