Compensation: $31.00 - $38.50 + Mid-Year and End-of-Year Discretionary Bonus
We are seeking a highly organized, versatile person to join our team as a Space Planner in the Alameda office (Hybrid). This role focuses exclusively on retail space planning, generating consistent, technical layouts based on standardized templates and site-specific conditions for a global retail tech company’s worldwide program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with space planning
  • Proficiency in BIM software
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistency in technical documentation
  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and communicate progress clearly with your team
  • Comfortable working within predefined standards, templates, and repetitive workflows
  • Collaborative team mindset with accountability for your own deliverables
  • Ability to take the initiative to research and resolve issues independently before escalating to management

Experience with:

  • Space planning for retail or commercial interiors, especially within a rollout or high-volume environment
  • Revit (required); additional proficiency in any of the following is a plus:
  • AutoCAD
  • SketchUp
  • Enscape
  • Cinema 4D
  • Bluebeam
  • Creating and managing accurate fixture, furniture, and equipment (FF&E) plans
  • Reviewing and incorporating field survey data into layout plans
  • Communicating clearly and concisely with team members in a production-driven environment
  • Implementing redlines and revisions quickly and precisely
  • Maintaining organization and output in a structured, task-oriented workflow
Responsibilities
  • Produce consistent, accurate 2D/3D store layout plans using CAD, Revit, and other modeling tools.
  • Translate existing survey data into plan layouts that meet strict retail guidelines.
  • Apply established fixture, furniture, and display packages to layouts with precision.
  • Prepare clear, standardized deliverables: plan layouts, storefront elevations, and basic sections.
  • Incorporate redlines and team feedback with high accuracy.
  • Manage multiple space planning tasks concurrently while meeting fast turnaround deadlines.
  • Assemble merchandise placements based on fixed planograms and client rules.
  • Create inventory lists of store elements (fixtures, furniture, etc.).
  • Support quality control and accuracy checking of peer work as needed.
