Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Space Policy Directive Associate to join a Federal Program located in Vandenberg SFB, CA.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SPACE POLICY DIRECTIVE ASSOCIATE INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience or Master’s with 3+ years
  • Proven track record in leading technical and strategic coordination efforts under government direction.
  • Experience as a military planner or staff officer, ideally within space or joint operational environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of www.Space-Track.org, including its architecture and data management workflows.
  • Technical understanding of SDA mission areas or demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire subject matter expertise.
  • Experience developing tools that enhance operational efficiency, such as SOPs, requirements matrices, and performance dashboards.
  • Strong skills in synthesizing complex information into briefings, reports, and policy documents.
  • Familiarity with the organizational structures of the United States Space Force and USSPACECOM.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and oversee collaborative relationships with domestic and international space operators.
  • Lead interagency working groups and facilitate engagements with allied and commercial partners, in alignment with directives from SPACE Office leadership.
  • Gather stakeholder input, document meeting outcomes, identify actionable items, and coordinate tasking to appropriate offices.
  • Design and implement process improvement tools such as checklists, technical specifications, and performance dashboards.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, draft position papers, and support strategic communication initiatives.
  • Coordinate with higher headquarters (e.g., HQ MD2, SpOC, USSPACECOM, S4S), legal teams, and interagency partners to ensure adherence to data-sharing policies.
  • Assess and communicate the operational implications of new missions on Space Domain Awareness (SDA) architecture and capabilities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on SSA/SDA, including integration of non-traditional sensors and emerging data sources.
  • Support planning, execution, and post-event reporting for official visits and engagements.
  • Collaborate with commercial and coalition partners to enhance and standardize information-sharing protocols.
  • Assist users in navigating SDA platforms and data repositories, with a focus on www.Space-Track.org.
