Description
MTSI is searching for a senior Systems Security/Information Assurance/Program Protection Support professional to support development of first-of-kind space vehicles and missions. This handpicked candidate must possess technical expertise and experience with developing, designing, building, integrating and transitioning space hardware and software. In this position, you will provide System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO). The Space RCO program office, located at Kirtland AFB, NM and is one of three US Space Force acquisition organization and is the one specializing in delivering first-of systems to fill quick-turn needs to deliver operational capability to the USSF. For each project, Space RCO sets up small, agile, and empowered teams to include program manager, technical specialists, contracting, finance, security, and use the right acquisition strategies to set the effort up for success. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high-performing team in a high-profile, fast-paced environment. Systems Security/Information Assurance/Program Protection Support Principal Duty You will work in a small, highly empowered team where every team member is directly responsible for the success of the program. SETA responsibilities span technology domains including space rated hardware, software, sensors, and processors in an extremely fast-paced, responsive development environment. This SETA candidate will provide in-depth background on system security, information assurance, and program protection to improve program office insight into state-of-the art commercial and legacy mission systems, and C2 requirements and capabilities. You must apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts for highly classified systems, while also effectively communicating complex results with management and executive leadership. SETA Role and Responsibilities: Serves as program advisor through the Engineering division to assigned Space RCO programs on security/IA/program protection matters Implements cyber security solutions, standards and procedures across multiple systems and architectures to ensure information confidentiality, integrity and availability in compliance with Air Force, Space Force, and DoD policies and standards Reviews, analyzes, and assesses systems configurations/architectures to identify security, safety, and mission critical functions/components and critical program information (CPI) Develops System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Assessment Reports (SARs), Security Control Traceability Matrices (SCTMs), Security Classification Guides (SCGs), and Program Protection Plans Supports security and IA monitoring plans across multiple architectures, systems, or families of systems · Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff · Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development and/or maintenance efforts for client specific or mission critical challenges/issues · Coordinates with external agencies to include operational units, higher headquarters, Combatant Command (CCMD) staffs, other acquisition activities, and research and development functions. · Supports acquisition planning and development of documents required for systems acquisition in the system security/IA/program protection area. · Drafts, reviews, and edits required reports, documents, and briefings Communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy—oral and written Qualifications Required skills: Minimum ten (10) years DoD/IC, or relevant industry work experience Experience with MAJCOM/Field Command staff level or higher Experience and understanding of CFC processes Expert understanding of the Command and Control/Kill chain dynamics Experience with system security, information assurance, and program protection plans Experience in DoD acquisition program office including program development and transition Understanding of operational environment and corresponding mission user needs Knowledge of space system engineering, development, and manufacturing Experience with Integrated Master Schedules and risk management Desired skills: Five (5) years of relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience with SAP and/or SCI System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to Government program office Experience with rapid prototyping Experience with integrated air, space, and cyberspace capabilities Experience with ACAT I/II level acquisition programs Fluency with IC organizations Education Desired Requirements: An applicable engineering degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or possess a Professional Engineering license Relevant MA/MS/ME degree Clearance: · Active TOP SECRET clearance with sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI) and special access program (SAP) eligibility (no less than 5 years total SAP and/or SCI environment experience, with 1-year total within last 5 years) and willingness to submit to a Counter-Intelligence polygraph Candidate must maintain a TS/SCI clearance as a condition of employment Location/Travel Requirements: · Full-time, on site in vicinity of Albuquerque, NM and will require travel up to 25% of time within the continental United States #LI-BG1 #MTSI #onsite
