Description

Qualis Corporation is seeking a Space Systems Analyst with demonstrated qualifications and proven experience in Space Systems with emphasis in MILSATCOM and Global Positioning System and experience in operational test or operations. This position will assist with test design, planning, execution data analysis and system characterization and associated reporting for operational test and evaluation. This position will be filled at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess a bachelor’s of science degree in an Analytical or Engineering field or Mathematics
  • Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in the field of Analytics or Engineering.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
  • Must have the ability to quickly understand the customers’ overall technical objectives and mission and provide effective solutions.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities.
  • Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
Responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of MILSATCOM and GPS Operations to include: Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC) tasking, Space Delta 8 (4 SOPS) and 2 SOPS daily operations, remote sites, mobile and airborn platforms & operations
  • Development of test methodologies, analysis methods, analysis strategies and tools for all MILSATCOM and GPS segments
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis using one or more of the following analysis tools: JMP, MATLAB, R, Python, CTS-153, or KNIME
  • The ability to track, analyze, and identify trends in data and provide effective solutions
  • Perform analysis of test data from all MILSATCOM and GPS segments and subsystems
  • Experience with modeling and simulation systems and associated analytical tools (e.g. AGEWS, FAB-T, AEHF,PTES, PTS, EPS-R, ESS, FET, MAT, PNVC and GPS) simulators, launch and check out systems, and Nuclear Detonation System Receiver processes and equipment).
  • Experience with testing enterprise level systems or system of systems configurations
  • Analyze existing requirements and recommend test standards to supplement requirements shortfalls
  • Development of test plans, data management and analysis plans, and other test related products
  • Identify test capability requirements, test capability shortfalls
  • Write or assist in writing of test plans, test reports, briefings, test procedures, official correspondence and other test related documentation such as test and evaluation master plan (TEMP)
  • The ability to effectively brief/write statistical/technical analyses to non-technical audiences
  • Recommend innovative approaches to operational test and integrated developmental/operational test activities
  • Perform data collection and analysis to assist in the evaluation of system readiness / effectiveness / suitability / progress, and make recommendations to the test director
  • Review, analyze, and comment on assigned documentation in support of the test director
  • Assist in determining the capability of the system to withstand natural and man-made threat environments, and quantify the degree of impairment
  • Participate in Integrated Test Teams
  • Experience working effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment
  • Experience building and maintaining diverse, teaming relationships at all levels of internal and external organizations
