We are looking for a seasoned Spacecraft Systems Analyst to join our space mission analysis team providing mission-critical technical support to the warfighter and to national and joint-service customers. Typical tasks include applying subject matter expertise and analytical tools to develop comprehensive spacecraft system assessments, analyzing orbital parameters and mission profiles, evaluating power and storage system performance, assessing communications data processing capabilities, and conducting detailed spacecraft configuration analysis including mass properties evaluation.

The successful candidate will provide in-depth technical analysis of spacecraft systems, subsystems, and enabling infrastructure. They will analyze and report on spacecraft characteristics, capabilities, performance parameters, and system vulnerabilities through official customer reporting mechanisms. The candidate’s responsibilities will include comprehensive all-source analysis on satellite systems, space operations, and space-enabling infrastructure. Additionally, they will perform technical analytic support, conduct peer reviews, and coordinate with relevant mission-partners within the intelligence community in the following spacecraft systems areas (but not limited to):

  • Orbital mechanics and trajectory analysis
  • Power generation and energy storage systems
  • Communications payload and data processing architecture
  • Satellite configuration and mass properties analysis
  • Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) payload analysis
  • Spacecraft-to-spacecraft interactions and constellation operations
  • Sensor duty cycles and operational parameters

Required Skills

  • Must be self-motivated and work well in both team and individual settings
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • Knowledge of spacecraft systems engineering principles and analytical methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong technical writing skills (In accordance with ICD 203/206 standards)

Required Experience

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Experience in technical analysis of foreign and domestic aerospace systems
  • Experience with spacecraft subsystem analysis and performance evaluation
  • Experience developing technical intelligence analytic methodologies
  • Experience briefing decision makers on technical findings
  • Experience writing technical analytic reports

Desired Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field and four (4) years of spacecraft systems analysis and/or space intelligence experience or 8 years’ experience in lieu of degree
