Our areas of activity are Aerospace, Defense & Security, Big Science, Biotechnology and Fintech. ARQUIMEA SPACE develops spaceflight parts and equipment for satellites and launchers. We specialize in thermal control systems, structural panels, optical payloads, avionics, release and deployment mechanisms, and rad-hard microelectronics. Together with our tech partners we provide high-throughput smallsats and their subsystems. Our brand-new factory in Madrid is suited to integrate satellites and constellations. Tasks to be performed: Support the analysis of customer and mission needs to contribute to system requirement definition. Assist in maintaining spacecraft system architecture and ensuring interface consistency between subsystems. Contribute to the interdisciplinary design and verification activities of: -Communication systems: telemetry, telecommand, RF links, modulation schemes, SDR platforms, antennas, and end-to-end space-ground architecture. -OBDH: operational modes, data buses, TM/TC architecture, basic FDIR concepts. -EPS (interface level): power budgets and subsystem electrical interfaces. -AOCS (interface level): operational modes and subsystem interaction. Perform link budget calculations and support end-to-end communication architecture analysis (space segment to ground segment). Support trade-off analyses related to mass, power, and performance at system level. Contribute to troubleshooting and anomaly resolution under senior supervision. Prepare and maintain technical documentation: requirements, ICDs, verification plans, and design documentation. Required skills, experience and candidate profile: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related technical field 2-3 years in spacecraft systems engineering or in key subsystems (EPS, OBDH, Propulsion, or AOCS) or telecommunications satellites. Experience or knowledge in some of the following areas is required: Telecommunications & Networks: RF communication systems and link budget analysis TT&C systems End-to-end communication architectures (space-to-ground) SDR platforms Antennas and RF subsystems Communication protocols such as CAN, SpaceWire, Ethernet, RS-4XX Space systems (basic/intermediate level): TM/TC architecture OBDH systems and data buses Operational modes and redundancy concepts Basic understanding of EPS and AOCS interfaces Valuable knowledge: Requirements management tools Familiarity with ECSS standards Basic understanding of FMECA and reliability analysis Experience with system simulation tools (MATLAB, Python or similar) Exposure to spacecraft integration and environmental testing (TVAC, vibration, EMC/EMI) Knowledge of ground segment architecture Hands-on experience with avionics hardware is valued but not mandatory. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required. The position is located in our Headquarters of Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid).
