To strengthen our Food Ingredients division, we are looking for a Product Manager Food Ingredients based in Barcelona. Tasks Key Responsibilities 1. Portfolio & Product Management Manage and develop a defined portfolio of food ingredients (e.g., starches, sweeteners, proteins, hydrocolloids, functional systems, nutraceuticals, Flavours, fragrances ). Monitor product performance, pricing, margins, and stock levels. Identify portfolio gaps and propose new products or suppliers. Ensure compliance with EU food regulations, specifications, and documentation. 2. Supplier Management Act as the primary contact for assigned suppliers. Negotiate pricing, annual agreements, and commercial terms. Coordinate forecasts, tenders, and supply chain planning. Support supplier onboarding and product launches. 3. Market & Business Development Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Develop go‑to‑market strategies for new products. Support sales teams with technical and commercial expertise. Conduct customer visits, product presentations, and training sessions. 4. Sales Support Provide pricing guidance, product positioning, and application know‑how. Prepare sales tools: datasheets, presentations, value propositions. Participate in customer meetings and trade shows (e.g., Fi Europe, Vitafoods I). Collaborate closely with regional sales managers across Europe. 5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work with logistics, quality, regulatory, and marketing teams. Ensure smooth product availability and complaint handling. Support digital initiatives (CRM, product data, online catalogues). Requirements Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or similar. 3–7+ years experience in food ingredients, distribution, or B2B food manufacturing. Strong understanding of food applications (bakery, dairy, beverages, savoury, nutrition etc.). Experience with suppliers or customers in Europe is a strong advantage. Skills & Competencies Strong commercial mindset with technical understanding. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders. Analytical, structured, and proactive working style. Comfortable in an international environment. Languages English – fluent (company language) Spanish – fluent Experience as a Product Manager in Food Industry.
