JOB DESCRIPTION FORM Position Title: Spanish Ministry & Facility Assistant Date Prepared: April 2026 Reports to (position): Associate Pastor (Ministry) / San Marco Facility Coordinator (Facilities) Department: Family of Churches / Gather Status: Part Time (Hybrid: Exempt Hourly mix depending on hours allocation) Basic Purpose The Spanish Ministry & Facility Assistant supports Aspire Church’s mission by serving both the Spanish-speaking ministry and the operational needs of the San Marco campus. This role exists to help develop and sustain Aspire Church Hispana through discipleship, translation, and community engagement, while also ensuring that church facilities are prepared, maintained, and fully functional for worship gatherings, ministry activities, and events. Key Roles Ministry Support & Leadership • Assist in the planning and execution of Aspire Church Hispana gatherings and ministry initiatives • Support the development of a healthy, disciple-making Spanish-speaking congregation Teaching & Discipleship • Assist with teaching responsibilities including small groups, classes, and occasional Sunday ministry opportunities • Help contextualize Aspire’s discipleship pathway (Gather, Grow, Go) for the Spanish-speaking community Translation & Communication • Provide verbal and written translation (English ↔ Spanish) for worship services, meetings, and church communications • Ensure clear and culturally appropriate communication across ministries Member Care & Community Engagement • Support pastoral care efforts including follow-up, visitation, and connection with Spanish-speaking members • Help integrate individuals and families into the life of the church Facility Preparation & Readiness • Assist with preparing buildings, rooms, and grounds for services, events, and ministry activities • Ensure spaces are clean, organized, and ready for use Maintenance & Support Assistance • Support routine maintenance, light repairs, and general facility upkeep • Report facility issues or safety concerns promptly Event & Campus Support • Provide setup, breakdown, and logistical assistance for ministry events and special gatherings • Support campus readiness during peak ministry times Key Responsibilities Ministry Responsibilities • Assist in weekly preparation and execution of Spanish-language worship gatherings • Translate sermons, announcements, and written materials • Support small groups and discipleship environments • Maintain records of attendance, membership, and engagement • Assist with communication across digital and print platforms • Support pastoral staff in member care needs Facility Responsibilities • Set up and break down rooms for services, meetings, and events • Perform routine walkthroughs to identify facility needs • Assist with light maintenance and preventative care • Coordinate with custodial staff and contractors as needed • Support special events (weddings, funerals, community events) Other Responsibilities • Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and ministry gatherings • Assist in church-wide events and initiatives • Support Aspire Church’s broader vision including church planting and revitalization • Perform other duties as assigned by supervising staff Skills, Knowledge, and Other Success Factors • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills • Organizational and administrative competency (Microsoft 365, church systems preferred) • Ability to translate language with clarity and cultural sensitivity • Basic knowledge of facility operations or maintenance preferred • Ability to follow procedures and work independently when needed • Flexibility in schedule, including evenings and weekends • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance Leadership & Behavioral Qualities • Growing, active relationship with Jesus Christ • Alignment with Aspire Church’s doctrine, mission, and values • Servant-hearted, humble, and team-oriented • Strong work ethic and reliability • Clear communicator who follows direction well • Relationally driven with cultural awareness • Self-motivated, adaptable, and teachable • Passion for reaching and discipling Spanish-speaking people Education & Experience • High school diploma required (or equivalent) • College or ministry training preferred • Prior ministry experience (especially multicultural or Spanish-speaking contexts) preferred • Experience in facilities, maintenance, or event support desirable • Experience in teaching, translation, administration, or member care is highly valued This hybrid role is designed to flex between ministry and facility needs, requiring strong time management, adaptability, and a heart to serve both people and operational excellence within Aspire Church.
