Description SPANISH TEACHER (1st-6th)FULL TIMEFY 2026-2027Canton, GA Cherokee Classical Academy seeks a mission-aligned educator to serve as a Spanish Teacher for Grades 1–5 and Study Skills Teacher for Grade 6. This individual will cultivate a love of language and ordered learning while supporting students in developing habits of attention, organization, and academic responsibility within a classical education framework. The ideal candidate embraces classical pedagogy, understands the formative power of language study, and is committed to aligning instruction with the Hillsdale K–12 Scope and Sequence. This position would report to the Dean of Academics on CCA’s Cherokee County campus. This position starts July 2026. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following: Spanish Instruction (Grades 1–5) Deliver developmentally appropriate Spanish instruction rooted in classical pedagogy. Emphasize vocabulary, pronunciation, foundational grammar, and cultural literacy. Reinforce memory work, recitation, and structured language development consistent with the grammar stage. Align instruction with the Hillsdale K–12 Foreign Language Scope and Sequence. Foster attentiveness, joy, and intellectual curiosity in the study of language. Study Skills Instruction (Grade 6) Teach foundational academic skills including organization, note-taking, time management, and test preparation. Cultivate habits of attention, responsibility, and self-governance. Support students’ transition to the increased academic expectations of middle school. Collaborate with core teachers and communicate progress with families as needed. Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in a related field from a fully accredited college is required. Valid teaching certification in Georgia is preferred but not required. Previous experience in classical education is preferred but not required. Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
