Description George School, an all-gender Quaker boarding/day high school located in Newtown, PA, seeks a Spanish Teacher beginning August 2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsibilities Teach Spanish language and richness and variety of Hispanic cultures. Responsible for all aspects of lesson planning, instruction, and assessment. Foster a dynamic, interactive, and engaging learning environment. Partner collaboratively with Spanish teaching team and other members of Language Department. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Fluency in Spanish; native speaker preferred. Experience teaching Spanish. Familiarity with Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate curricula is a plus. Experience using or integrating technology tools to enhance teaching and learning. Openness to exploring innovative teaching strategies and emerging technologies. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. A willingness to take pedagogical risks to enhance student learning experiences. Dedication to supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment. Commitment to working towards antiracism and developing and practicing cultural competency.
