The Role We're seeking a Systems Administrator with deep expertise in SPARC-based hardware and Oracle Solaris operating systems. This Sydney-based role supports a secure infrastructure uplift for a national regulatory platform. You'll be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of mission-critical Solaris environments. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Oracle SPARC servers and Solaris OS (Solaris 10/11). Manage Solaris virtualisation (LDOMs, Zones) and ZFS file systems. Perform system upgrades, patching, and kernel tuning. Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues. Implement Solaris security policies and hardening standards. Support SAN/NAS storage configurations and disaster recovery procedures. Automate system tasks using shell scripting. Collaborate with application, network, and security teams. What You'll Need Experience with Solaris OS and SPARC architecture (T-Series, M-Series). Strong shell scripting (Bash, Korn) and ZFS/SVM experience. Familiarity with TCP/IP, NFS, DNS, and enterprise-grade uptime environments. Australian Citizenship with Baseline clearance. Why Join Us?
