Spare Part Documentation Architect
Are you an experienced spare part documentation expert who wants to be part of the electrification journey? If the answer is yes, keep reading, as this may be just the right position for you. This position is in Sandvik’s Turku site which is the main product development and manufacturing center for our Load and Haul equipment.
Your primary areas of responsibility

You are a member of a Technical Services team, which is responsible e.g. for creating safety and service bulletins, operator’s, maintenance, service, and spare part manuals. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Producing and compiling user friendly, accurate, high quality, and structured spare part documents
  • Adhering to Sandvik common ways of working to ensure that spare part documents are in accordance with Sandvik internal guidelines, as well as applicable external regulations, directives, and standards
  • Planning spare part document structures and executing process enhancements
  • Ensuring that spare part documents are published on time
  • Controlling that needed external resources are available for parts manual creation
  • Creating spare part codes
  • Supporting, guiding, and training users, colleagues and stakeholders on parts documentation process and software
  • Gathering needed information from engineering, reports, equipment specifications, databases, and other sources.

Your background and what we find important

  • A few years of experience in engineering or aftermarket business is a good background for this job. Experience in documentation, such as creation of operator’s, maintenance and/or parts manuals is a great benefit
  • Suitable educational degree could be e.g. from mechanical or electrical engineering or technical documentation
  • Knowledge of structural documentation is essential, and knowledge of content management software is a big plus
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD- and PDM software is much appreciated
  • The original language of our manuals is English. Therefore, your written and spoken English language skills must be excellent. Basic Finnish language skills are also required, as some of our source material is only available in Finnish
  • Your way of working is result-oriented and quality-conscious, and as a character you are a team player with good communication skills.
