PARTS MANAGER - BDS GOLD COAST

BDS Mechanical is seeking an experienced Parts Manager or a Senior Parts Interpreter wanting to take the next step to advance their career at our BDS Gold Coast Workshop in Arundel.
Reporting directly to the general manager and owner, the focus of this role is to provide the best customer experience to all our parts Customers through our Retail, Service, Trade and Internal channels.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role or extensive experience in a Parts Interpreter’s role
  • Proven sales record
  • Experience managing and motivating a team
  • Light and heavy vehicle experience preferred
  • Strong parts knowledge
  • Invoicing, quoting, ordering and stocktaking experience
  • Must have current open drivers license
  • Sound PC skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to priorities workloads
  • Attention to detail
Responsibilities
  • Providing leadership and direction to the employees in the parts departments of our workshops around QLD, aligning sales activities with the broader business plan
  • Regular reporting of department’s actual sales performance against set targets with variance and revised projections to the Branch Manager 
  • Overseeing the sales revenue, margin, and expense performance initiating corrective action where required
  • Monitoring and negotiating pricing with suppliers
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
