PipeCare Group is looking for an experienced Spares Supply Manager to join our team.
By providing technology and service focused solutions to the international arena of the oil and gas industry, the PipeCare Group of companies has been helping our customers ensure the integrity of their pipeline and facility assets for over 20 years.
Industry/sector: Oil & Gas / In Line Inspection services.
Spares Supply Manager is responsible for leading the spares supply management function, ensuring the timely and efficient supply of spares to support operations. This role involves developing and implementing effective spares supply management strategies, managing inventory levels, and optimizing procurement and sourcing processes.

Key Responsibilities & Authorities

  • Develop and Implement Spares Supply Management Strategies.
  • Analyze demand patterns and forecast future demand to optimize inventory levels.
  • Develop and implement effective spares supply management strategies to ensure the timely and efficient supply of spares.
  • Implement inventory management best practices, such as just-in-time (JIT) inventory management and lean inventory management.
  • Develop and implement effective procurement and sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and efficient supply of spares.
  • Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of spares.
  • Develop and implement effective parts management strategies to ensure timely and efficient supply of mechanical and electronics spare parts.
  • Lead and manage a team of parts coordinators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective parts management.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics and benchmarks to measure team performance.
  • Develop and manage budgets for parts procurement, ensuring cost-effective solutions and minimizing waste.
  • Analyze and report on budget variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize parts management processes.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and report the spares inventory:

    • Avoid shortages.
  • Control the usage of spares for every run.
  • Report planned usage monthly.
  • Aim at 100% Spares availability.
  • Coordinate with Tool Management to arrange proper shipping of all spares to and from commercial project sites, between Territory and Corporate TM as well as from suppliers.
  • Forecast, budget and purchase (or return spares to Inventory) from the market for the coming year. This forecast shall also reflect the parts which can be produced in house with LIN SCAN production.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering/Technology, OR related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mechanical production related role, ideally in the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Strong command of English, knowledge of other languages is plus
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
  • Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
  • Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
  • Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
  • Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
