SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE Closed-door pharmacy environment Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Life Insurance Long Term Disability 401(k) Retirement Plan Responsibilities include: Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist Package materials and products manually Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications, label, and stock Assist in shipping and preparing orders for delivery Assist in creating, maintaining, and exchanging emergency drug kits Replenish stock and consumables Alert techs when to start the end-of-shift procedure. Watch routes and know when the supplement help is needed. Help with cycle quality assurance checks and supplemental orders. Alternate shifts with the department supervisor to make sure a leader is present and follow up on the assigned tasks. Communicate with the department manager when observations are warranting plan changes. Be able to interpret and create the task calendar developed by the department manager to assess task completion and suggest plan alterations if necessary. Be able to assign tasks to the technicians in the department. Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs Requirements Minimum (Required) Qualifications: (must be met in order to perform the job at the required level) Licensed/Registered pharmacy technician required by Maryland state law High School diploma or equivalent Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one year experience in long-term care preferred) Good organizational skills and detail oriented Basic math and analytical skills Knowledge of Data Entry Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language Ability to physically perform light lifting Must be able to work various shifts and days *******Must be licensed as a technician in Maryland******* Physical Demands: This role requires, sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently throughout the day - typically 7 to 10 hours. Extended hours may occasionally be necessary. You'll need finger dexterity for equipment operation, the ability to lift up to 25 lbs on occasion, visual acuity for fine print (close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment) and the ability to hear normal voice sounds.
