Kennedys is recruiting for an experienced Special Counsel with 8 + years’ PQE to join our dynamic, close-knit and team-orientated Healthcare practice, managing a mix of complex healthcare and medical malpractice files across a range of clients, including medical defence organisations (MDOs).
We are looking for a genuine team player, who can develop and maintain excellent client relationships by successfully executing marketing/business development and training activities.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• At least 8+ years’ of post-admission experience in medical malpractice and healthcare work, preferably in Victoria.
• Demonstrate first rate legal/commercial knowledge with strong technical and research skills.
• Ability to draft, advise and negotiate in relation to both straightforward and complex matters.
• Running own caseload with minimal supervision.
• Ability to mentor junior lawyers, graduates and paralegals.
