BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION, ACTIVE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER LICENSE AND MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

This full-time position is focused on delivering specialized educational support to high school students within an autism support program. Located onsite in Boston, MA, the role involves working closely with a high school caseload to foster student growth in social, emotional, and self-regulation skills through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement ABA strategies such as discrete trials, ACE data collection, and goal setting to address students academic and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including school psychologists, BCBAs, teachers, and service providers to develop and implement individualized behavior plans.
  • Support students in achieving both academic and social-emotional goals outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Serve as an effective communication bridge between home and school environments.
  • Train and guide educational assistants in behavior management techniques and accurate data collection.
  • Participate in Safety-Care training and assist in organizing professional development initiatives with school leadership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by special education leadership and school administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Special Education.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with students on the autism spectrum.
  • Background in ABA methodologies is highly desirable.
  • DESE license in moderate and/or severe special needs.
  • SEI Endorsement.
  • Commitment to completing the 181-day work year plus a six-week summer component, contingent on student IEPs.
