A K-12 school in Colchester, VT is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full contract position through the next school year. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
• Deliver specialized instruction across K-12 grade levels, adapting teaching methods and materials
• Monitor and assess student progress, making data-driven adjustments to support achievement
• Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to ensure inclusive and effective learning environments
• Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions related to special education practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Experience working with K-12 students in inclusive settings
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and special education laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Location: Colchester, Vermont
Assignment Duration: Full contract for the school year
Additional Role: Opportunity to assist as a Special Education Coordinator (25% time commitment)
