BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION, ACTIVE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER LICENSE AND MINIMUM 1+ YEARS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A teaching opportunity is available now for a dedicated Special Education professional to support early childhood students in grades K-2 within a full-time, contract position for the 2025-2026 school year. The role focuses on providing individualized instruction and support to elementary students with significant cognitive, developmental, and/or physical disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored educational plans and instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with an advisory team to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and staff to ensure student success.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Ohio Department of Education-issued Intervention Specialist license.
  • Experience working with students who have significant cognitive, developmental, and physical challenges, preferably in early childhood and elementary settings.
  • Strong understanding of special education best practices and individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Schedule and Duration:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract position for the 2025-2026 school year
